Hartford Public Schools and Global Communications Academy invite our high school students to attend Union Baptist Church's annual Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) Tour that we've sponsored for the community for the past 31 years.
Each year, we engage parents and students in a series of mandated parent/student workshops and assignments prior to taking approximately 43 students from Greater Hartford to visit approximately 11 HBCU's (historically black colleges and universities) from Maryland to Florida. This year the tour takes place April 5 through April 12, 2024 during our Spring Recess.
Students will also visit a number of historical sites while on this tour. Union Baptist Church is located in the community and is grateful to maintain the legacy of pouring into the lives of young people.
